This is a medium sized tree as an adult. The leaves are rounded at the base and pointed at the end. Some leaves may also have tags on the top side of the leaves. The flowers are small and greenish white. The fruit of this tree starts off green and turns purple as it ripens. Culturally, the mature trunk of this tree was used for house/ranch posts as well as the leaves were boiled in water to treat backaches.
